Meet Oloye Sade Ajala: Owner, Chief Yoruba Priestess & Healing Consultant
Iya Oyawunmi Ifawemida Awosade Osunnike Ajala is a cultural guardian, spiritual teacher, and healer walking the path of Yoruba tradition across continents. Raised in Hoodoo by her grandmother and introduced to Yoruba religion in Cleveland, she began her formal studies with Iyanifa Ifalola Ifasope Osuntokun.
A Reiki Master and Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, Iya Oyawunmi’s spiritual path weaves together rootwork, Orisa practice, astrology, herbalism, and ancestral healing. She was initiated to Oya in 2006 and has since completed rites in Egungun, Ifa, Osun, Egbe, and Regla de Palo (Cuba), where she is honored as Yaya Ndoki.
As founder of Ile Àṣẹ Oya Gbera, she uplifts cultural and spiritual education in the diaspora. In 2021, she received the chieftaincy title Oloye Amuwera Foya from Osogbo elders for her work in preserving Yoruba tradition globally.
Together with her husband, Babalawo Sàngówale Ajala, Iya Oyawunmi continues to advocate for cultural and ancestral liberation, inviting others to return to their roots with reverence and power.
